Make an
impact today

When I first came to know Jesus as Lord, O so many years ago, the experience was delightful and ecstatic, but I remember wondering what was going to happen next.  For quite some time I was left to figure things out on my own.  Certainly, the Pastor’s messages were interesting—but that was all they were—interesting.  Even though that church had a vibrant small group ministry, the leaders seemed to be more focused on what message they had than the needs of this new believer.  I didn’t see a sense of pride or self-interest in them, but nonetheless my needs were not being met.

I met Jesus in that community, and I felt His presence in my heart.  There was so much I didn’t know:  I didn’t know how to pray; I didn’t understand these indecipherable sounds I was hearing; I was having trouble understanding the Bible; and I was having trouble connecting the dots.  The Sunday evening service was especially vibrant with wonderful music and fellowship, but I felt I could have found that at a bar.

I recognize pastors have many demands on their time and energy, so I’m not interested in pointing fingers.  But I do know I don’t want new believers to have the same experience I did.  The one thing in my heart before the first blog, or the first book, or the first podcast, was that I let God speak through my writing and speaking and touch the heart of the believer and help guide and shape him or her into the child God created him or her to be.

That voice of God is working.  When starting, we had of course 0 followers; now it’s more than a dozen from all across the globe.  We ask for your support to help this ministry make a difference.  New believers and returning believers are tuning in and we hope the books and podcasts are making a difference in their lives.
